About

Our Mrs. Senior World Karen Pritchett
Our Mrs. Senior World Your Mrs. Senior World is a wife, mom, and
noted for the time and effort she has put in helping others.
Karen Pritchett and her husband have raised a blended family and
know what it takes to motivate, inspire, and empower. She has
been happily married to Andrew (SFC US Army Retired) for almost 8
years, and together they have two children, Ryan (41) and Raven
(17). After working full-time for almost 45 years, Karen decided
to retire and now spends her time actively volunteering with some
of her favorite charities. Fundraising is one of her passions!
Her fundraising and volunteerism has spanned four decades to
include organizations that are local, state and international.
She currently is volunteering/fundraising with 2 Breast Cancer
Organizations and has done 5 Fundraisers this year with MLB
Seattle Mariners. She has been volunteering and has done
fundraising for United Way, Boys and Girls Clubs, American Cancer
Society, Susan G. Komen, Juvenile Diabetes Association, Dream
Builders Ball, Dream Foundation and so many more. Her
participation as Chairperson, Committee fundraiser and Board of
Directors has helped these organizations raise over
$12,000,000.00.
She did her first pageant at the age of 5 (which she won) and
then did not compete again until age 40 when she entered a Mrs.
Pageant. She went on to win titles at all levels and now the
title of Mrs. Senior World. With this title she hopes to empower
women to set goals, dreams and never give up no matter what
obstacles you may face.
She is a survivor of Domestic Violence and while working 2 jobs
she was able to help her son attend the University of Washington
where he received his Juris Doctorate. Karen's Awards and
Recognition Include: District and National Head Coach - Hershey
and Jesse Owen Track Programs. Mariners Grant to Build 4 Field
Baseball Complex that serves 5,000 youth and adult. Employee of
the Month/Year at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Washington State
Governor’s Proclamation - 3 years for work with the Senior
Services and Citizens with Disabilities.
Being involved and volunteering has allowed Karen to use her
passion for service to connect with the community to serve, which
includes: A Hero’s Promise, Susan G Komen, Fred Hutchison Cancer
Centers, Queens for a Cure, National Breast Cancer Foundation,
Yelm Chamber of Commerce, City of Lacey Events speaking
engagements on her platform, Princess Project, Fisher House,
American Heart Association, Go Red for Women, and Special Stars
(Downs Syndrome). These experiences, in addition to her platform
and work, will help Karen to be a successful
both at the state, national and international level as she
continues to build relationships and bridges with communities and
organizations.
Her main platform is Senior Abuse Awareness because it's personal
when lifelong friends and family members are affected. She did
her homework and found that not much awareness has been brought
to the forefront in over two decades, and also realized that the
health and wellness of our senior population are also areas of
concern. It broke her heart to find that some seniors are
sometimes left hungry and malnourished because of a lack of food
programs to help sustain their precious lives. Karin had to do
something and with this title can do much more for this
vulnerable population.
Karin's favorite quote is “Each one – Teach One”.
